Understanding the Pattern of Adolescents’ Nutritional Behaviour and Lifestyle

Introduction: Junk food is increasingly becoming a part of the regular diet for most adolescents in India. Rich fat and salt content, such known to cause nutritional, affective, behavioural, cognitive alterations. The present cross-sectional study thus aimed understand patterns junk consumption school-going Method: A semi-structured, self-administered, pre-tested questionnaire, created by AACCI, was administered public co-ed school central Delhi. survey consisted questions on knowledge choice healthy habits. sample 140 participants, who were 10th 11th graders. Results: foremost reason choosing its taste 78.8% boys 72.3% girls. There no significant difference frequency between girls boys, however, their choices differed. Girls reported consuming more sweets (p = 0.034), while consumed high-salt foods 0.031) per week. Of total (54%) (46%), only 35% had normal BMI. Conclusion: high. highlights need nutritional education regulatory mechanisms help students monitor importance promoting alternatives, health care habits this population.
